Community Strategic Plan
The Community Strategic Plan is the highest level plan that a council prepares. The purpose of the plan is to identify the community’s main priorities and aspirations for the future and to plan strategies for achieving these goals. Specific activities or actions under each strategy are set out in Council’s 2015-2019 Delivery Program and in the 2015/16 Operational Plan and Budget.
Council adopted the Community Strategic Plan on 28th March, 2013. The current plan is available for download below.
Draft Delivery Program 2016/2020
The 2016-2020 Delivery Program follows on from the Bogan Shire Community Strategic Plan 2026 and details the activities Council will undertake over the next few years to achieve the strategic priorities identified within the CSP. Council adopted the Delivery Program at the Council Meeting on 23rd June, 2016 after the conclusion of the public exhibition period.
Copies of both the Delivery Program 2016-2020 and the Operational Plan and Budget 2016/17 are available at the Council Chambers or the Bogan Shire Library.

Operational Plan and Budget 2016/2017
The Operational Plan and Budget for 2016/2017 is a ‘sub-plan’ of the Delivery Program that details specific activities which will be undertaken by Council within the 2016/2017 current financial year to achieve the commitments outlines in the Delivery Program. Council adopted the Operational Plan and Budget at the Council meeting on 23rd June, 2016 after the conclusion of the public exhibition period.

Code of Conduct
The Local Government Act 1993 requires every council to adopt a code of conduct that incorporates the provisions of The Model Code of Conduct for Local Councils in NSW. Councillors, staff and delegates of the council must comply with the applicable provisions of council's code of conduct. It is the personal responsibility of council officials to comply with the standards in the code and regularly review their personal circumstances with this in mind. Council contractors and volunteers will also be required to observe the relevant provisions of council's code of conduct. Asset Management Strategy
Council has developed an Asset Management Strategy to assist council is improving the way it delivers services from infrastructure including roads, bridges, footpaths, stormwater drainage, parks and recreation, buildings and Transport and Storm Water, Water Supply and Sewerage, Buildings, and Other Assets. End of Term Report 2012-2016
In accordance with Local Government Act 1993, Council is required to table an End of Term Report at the last meeting of the outgoing Council and include it in the Annual Report 2015-2016. The End of Term Report is part of Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework and reports on the Council’s progress in implementing the Community Strategic Plan over the past four years.
Fit for the Future
In accordance with resolution 070/2015 from the 26 March 2015 Council Meeting, Council staff have developed the Rural Council Fit for the Future submission in consultation with nominated Councillors.
The submission, which is based on Council’s revised Long Term Financial Plan shows that all Fit for the Future benchmarks will be achieved - based on Tables 3.3, 3.5 and 3.7 of IPART’s Methodology for Assessment of Council Fit for the Future Proposals.
