Bogan Shire Council has a Cleaner position available within their Early Learning Centre. Bogan Shire Council seeks employees with a willingness to contribute to a team environment and promote customer service excellence.
The Cleaner will provide a clean, hygienic, safe and aesthetic environment for children attending the Early Learning Centre, by undertaking general cleaning duties, including the removal of litter, vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping hard floor surfaces, wiping down surfaces, dusting shelves, clearing bins, cleaning windows and sterilising bathroom and kitchen areas, ensuring hygienic standards are maintained throughout the centre and chemical handling and storage procedures are followed.

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

Have proven numeracy and literacy levels usually associated with Year 10 Secondary Education

Be able to provide high quality work in order to provide clean, hygienic, safe and aesthetic environment for children

Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work independently with minimal to no supervision

Be able to communicate clearly and effectively

Be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively within a team environment

Hold a valid Working With Children Check

Hold a National Police Check Certificate

Not be a prohibited person

Be an Australian Resident or equivalent or holder of a visa allowing permanent employment in Australia

Hold a Class C, P1 or P2 drivers licence
Conditions
The Cleaner position is for a permanent part-time position.
Hours of work are 15 hours per week, 5.45pm to 8.45pm, Monday to Friday.

Remuneration at Grade 3 of Council’s salary system ($400.05 to $433.20 per week).

Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $6.15 / week
