MITCHELL HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION WORK
Council will be carrying out construction work to replace culverts on Mitchell Highway between Nyngan and the saleyards (from approximately 500 metres from the Barrier Highway turn-off and continuing for the next 5km towards Girilambone). This work will take approximately 10 weeks and road users should expect short delays, with traffic lights in operation.

BOGAN SHIRE MEDICAL CENTRE – SKIN CHECKS
Dr Mina Ayad is available for GP consultations and dedicated skin checks and minor skin excisions.
Dr Ayad provides comprehensive, patient centred care including acute illness management, chronic disease care, preventative health, men’s and women’s health, mental health support, health assessments, and general medical concerns.
He has a special interest in skin health, offering thorough skin cancer checks and minor excision procedures.
Clinics are Medicare bulk billed for eligible patients - no out-of-pocket cost.

OUTBACK COUNTRY ARTS PRIZE
Outback Arts will be accepting entries for the Outback Country Arts Prize from 13th July.
Categories include Legends, Landscapes & Lifelines, for all mediums (excluding video and audio works).
Established in 2011, the Outback Country Art Prize provides rural and remote artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work and access valuable professional development. Through long term partnerships, this project offers cash prizes and exhibition opportunities with metro gallery partners.

Wednesday July 15: Pop up Putt Putt at BSYCC 12pm-1.30pm (12 - 24 year olds, including competition); 1.30pm-3pm for children aged 5 and over (must be accompanied by an adult supervisor).
Wednesday July 15: Free skateboarding mentoring session at Nyngan Skatepark 2pm-6pm
Bogan Bush Fellas: Thursday 10am-12pm

VISIT NYNGAN ON FACEBOOK
The Nyngan Visitor Information Centre has launched a “Visit Nyngan” Facebook page to promote local tourism and to provide updated information on local events, attractions, road condition and more to visitors and the local community.

COMPANION ANIMALS – CONTROL OF DOGS
Residents are reminded that dogs must be under the effective control of a competent person at all times when in public, and owner’s yards should be secure to ensure animals do not escape.
Dog owners are reminded of their responsibility to have their pets microchipped and registered, or risk fines (starting at $330). Fines are enforceable and if stray animals are impounded, further fees will apply. REPORT ILLEGAL DUMPING
Community members are encouraged to report all incidents of illegal dumping of rubbish via RIDonline.epa.nsw.gov.au or by telephone on 131555. You can provide the address of the incident using the GPS on your device or select the location on the provided map.
When you report via RIDonline, Bogan Shire Council is sent an email alert about the incident so we can respond. To follow up on a report, call Council on 6835 9000 or email admin@bogan.nsw.gov.au. Importantly, if you discover obviously dangerous waste, such as that omitting toxic fumes or spilt chemicals you should call 000 and report it immediately.

NEXT COUNCIL MEETING
The next Ordinary Meeting of Council will be held on Thursday 23 July from 5.30pm. Members of the public are welcome to sit in the visitor gallery at Council meetings (with the exception of during confidential time).
