Position Overview
The Road Inspector plays a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our transport network. This role involves conducting regular inspections of roads and assets, identifying hazards, and ensuring timely maintenance and construction work is completed efficiently.
In collaboration with the Coordinator Shire Road Works, the Road Inspector will help develop and evaluate maintenance schedules, utilising technology to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with safety standards.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong background in civil construction and road maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Tertiary qualifications at AQF Level 3 (Certificate III) in Civil Construction or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in using technology and relevant software for road management.
- Strong communication skills to foster effective working relationships.
- Commitment to WH&S principles and practises.
- Hold a current Class C driver's license.
- Must be an Australian Resident or hold a visa allowing permanent employment in Australia.
The candidate should demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively while meeting deadlines.
Salary & Benefits
Remuneration for this position is set at Grade 4 of Council's salary system, ranging from $1,213.05 - $1,404.29 per week based on qualifications and experience.
