Position Overview

The Trainee Educator plays a crucial role in the Children's Services department, focusing on providing high-quality educational experiences for children aged 0-5 years. This position is designed to support the development of future educators through a structured traineeship program.

In this role, you will undertake a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care while gaining practical experience in a nurturing and educational environment. You will work alongside experienced staff to build relationships with children and their families, ensuring each child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to explore and learn.

This position is full-time (35 hours per week) for a contracted period of 2 years. You will work on a rotating roster between the hours of 7.00am to 6.00pm, Monday - Friday.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Trainee Educator position will be passionate about early childhood education and eager to support families in our community. You should possess a genuine interest in child development and the ability to form positive relationships.

  • A desire to encourage and support families and children in our community.
  • Ability to create warm and responsive relationships with children and families.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Completion of school studies to NSW Record of School Achievement (RoSA) level (Year 10) or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Hold a current class C, P1 or P2 driver's licence or obtain within 3 months.
  • Able to work in various outdoor environments and remote locations.
