About the Role

As Team Leader – Roadworks, you’ll be the driving force behind the execution of road maintenance and construction works. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising teams and overseeing grader and plant operations
  • Coordinating day-to-day and long-term roadworks schedules
  • Ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and within budget
  • Upholding Council values through strong leadership and collaboration
  • Assisting the Coordinator Road Works in planning and reporting

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $1,213.05 – $1,404.29 per week (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • 12% superannuation

What We’re Looking For

You have:

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations) or equivalent, with proven relevant operational experience and national competency/assessed qualified with ticket to operate grader
  • Demonstrated success managing civil works projects and teams
  • Proven expertise operating graders and other heavy plant
  • Strong communication, record-keeping and safety management skills
  • A current MR class driver licence and White Card

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Traffic Control tickets (‘Blue’ and ‘Yellow’ Cards)
  • RMCC or similar council contract experience
  • Competency on plant such as rollers, backhoes, skidsteers
  • First Aid Certificate and HC class licence
