Meets: For session dates and times contact the Bush Mobile Office.
Activities: The mobile travels around the Western area, providing a multi-functional service to meet the needs of children and their families and the community. The service aims to promote the development of each child socially, emotionally, intelectually, creatively and physically through caring relationships, the provision of appropriate activities, quality toys and educational materials. This is particularly important for children in isolated areas who are able to learn to share and enjoy the company of other children.
Parents also benefit from the mobile sessions, as they provide an opportunity for social contact and interaction. Most venues are visited on a fortnightly basis, with some smaller centres visited monthly. The Bogan Bush Mobile is funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, under the auspice of the Bogan Shire Council.
Venues: The Bogan Bush Mobile visits the following centres: Girilambone, Collie, Duck Creek, Hermidale, Colerreina, Warren, Mullengudgery, Tottenham, Trangie, Mungery, Marthaguy and Marra.
Ages: 0-6.
