Bogan Shire Council is preparing its long-term plan for Nyngan and the Bogan Shire. This plan sets out a vision for what our community will be like in 2035.
Members of the community are invited to complete an online survey which is on the Bogan Shire Council website: www.bogan.nsw.gov.au. BOGAN SHIRE SENIORS WEEK 10-14 MARCH
Bogan Shire will be celebrating Seniors Week from 10–14 March 2025, recognising the valuable contributions of our senior community members (aged 60+).
Nominations for the Senior Citizen of the Year close this Friday, 28 February.
Nomination Forms are available at the Bogan Shire Council front counter, Bogan Shire Library, or online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/Q58MQ5L (Link on Bogan Shire Facebook and Website).
Seniors are invited to attend the Bogan Shire Seniors Week Morning Tea on Wednesday 12 March from 10am at the 3CN Hall (16 Terangion street).
Other events include:
Monday 10 March – Nyngan Bowling Club Bingo, 10.00am, Combined Church and Seniors Week Supper 6.00pm at 3CN Church
Tuesday 11 March: Social Bowls, Nyngan Bowling Club (no green fees); Water Aerobics, Nyngan Pool, 11.30am.
Wednesday 12 March: Bogan Shire Seniors Morning Tea, 10.00am, 3CN (announcement of Senior Citizen of the Year)
Thursday 13 March: Water Aerobics, 11.30am. Neil Diamond tribute band, The Nyngan Hotel 2pm (RSVP To Bogan Shire Library required)
Friday 14 March: Scoot Your Boots line Dancing. Nyngan Bowling Club, 11am
NYNGAN SHOW DAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY
Council has been advised that the NSW Government has approved a full day public holiday on Monday 26 May 2025 for Nyngan Show Day.
INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY MORNING TEA
The Nyngan Museum Committee is hosting a morning tea for all community members to celebrate International Women’s Day on Saturday 8 March at 10.00am at the Museum.

NEXT COUNCIL MEETING
The next ordinary meeting of Council will be held on Thursday 27 February at 7pm. Members of the public are welcome to sit in the visitor gallery at Council meetings (with the exception of during confidential time). Council business papers, minutes and a recording of meetings are available on the website www.bogan.nsw.gov.au or as hard copy at the Nyngan Library.
