We have had a little bit of a taste of the warmer weather and some more rain in the area which is great to see for Nyngan and surrounds heading into summer.
The Long Table Lunch ladies’ event was held on Saturday 13th September at the Nyngan Showground for the third year running. We have such a great community, who support each other and help out when needed the most. Congratulations to the Committee on such a successful event once again, and I believe the auction at the event was a huge success too. All of the proceeds of the day are donated to Nyngan Can Assist and the Nyngan Hospital Auxiliary, which are both very worthy causes in our community.
Well done to the Nyngan Senior Rugby League Reserve grade boys who brought home the grand final win and trophy. Such a massive achievement not just for the team but for our town. So good, well done and thank you to all the supporters, Committee and town who got behind them.
School holidays are fast approaching with only a week left of school, the Shire will have some activities running. The library will hold sessions of craft, a magic show and a bird feeder workshop, bookings are essential and any child under 10 years of age will require an adult to supervise.
With the warmer weather ahead, mark in your calendars The Nyngan War Memorial Pool is set to open for the season on the October Long Weekend.
Road works continue throughout Bogan Shire over the next fortnight, including continued re-sheeting of a section of Monkey Bridge Road, grading Bobadah Road, commencement grading of Mulla and Buddabadah roads and continued grading of Billandry and Plummers roads.
