Public Notices

We are desperately in need of heavy rain, with the rest of the country getting record breaking rain it seems to have forgotten how to in our region. Dubbo region is also lacking significant rain fall with the percentage of Burrendong Dam down to about 30%.

Council staff continue to communicate with NSW Fisheries about the changes required at the Monkey Bridge Crossing to change the culverts from round pipes to square culverts. These changes could cost over a million dollars. This seems a total unnecessary cost for something that is already functioning. We can’t find money to fund essential health care in the area but are being pushed to fund something that is completely unnecessary.

On behalf of the Bogan Shire, I would like to send my condolences to the family of Keith Norris. Keith was a resident of Coolabah for many years and also a Councillor on Bogan Shire from 1991 to 2004. Keith will be sorely missed in our shire.

Over the past fortnight Bogan Shire commenced its first visit from Little Wings paediatrician Dr Nicholas Wood. This is a massive bonus for our Bogan Shire children, who would normally be on waitlists for up to 2 years and have to travel long distances to seek specialist medical interventions.

Councillors at the recent Council Meeting voted for the street name for the new subdivision, the chosen name was selected as Warrigal Way.

Continued resheeting sections of Honeybugle Rd and construction of the Nyngan Emergency Bore pipeline, along Old Warren Road will continue.

We urge motorist to observe traffic signage to ensure traffic and worker safety. There will be a number of work locations on our highways.
