Bogan Shire Council wishes to remind Nyngan residents and the general public that the Nyngan Waste Facility will be closed on Good Friday, 3 April 2026. The facility will be open as usual on Thursday 2 April, Saturday and Sunday 4-5 April 2026. We are desperately in need of heavy rain, with the rest of the country getting record breaking rain it seems to have forgotten how to in our region. Dubbo region is also lacking significant rain fall with the percentage of Burrendong Dam down to about 30%. Council staff continue to communicate with NSW Fisheries about the changes required at the Monkey Bridge Crossing to change the culverts from round pipes to square culverts.
